Meet Chef Kale
There is a new man beneath the chef’s hat in the Sacred
Heart School kitchen, he is Kale Laverentz. Chef Kale brings
a great deal of restaurant as well as bakery experience to
our school lunch program. He most recently worked at Top of
the Tower restaurant in Topeka. Kale lives with his wife and
daughter in Oskaloosa, Kansas and he believes that, “All
school children are entitled to the best possible nutritious
food that we can provide.Being a part of something that I
truly believe in is a wonderful feeling and knowing that I
am providing a well balanced diet for young people who need
these nutrients is very fulfilling.”
