Students Earn Standard
of Excellence on Kansas Assessment Tests
Kansas State Assessments were administered
last spring to students in grade 4 (math and science), grade
5 (reading), grade 6 (social studies), grade 7(math and science),
and grade 8 (reading and social studies). The results for
individual students will be sent home on Friday, August 26.
Sacred Heart students as a whole did an outstanding job on
the state assessments being awarded the Standard of Excellence
in 4th grade math, 7th grade math, 7th grade science, 5th
grade reading, and 8th grade reading. Congratulations, students
and teachers!
As a result of the No Child Left Behind Act, new state assessments
have been developed for math and reading which will be administered
every year to all students in grades 3 through 8 starting
this spring.
