Bill Leick, 6-8 Social Studies
and Religion
Mr. Leick (pronounced “like”)
brings over 30 years of Catholic School teaching experience
to Sacred Heart School. The past seven years he has taught
religion and social studies at Our Lady of Peace School in
Kansas City, MO.
Mr. Leick is described as a true gentleman. His friendliness,
sense of humor, intelligence and strong Catholic values will
make him a valuable asset to our school and to our students.
He shows a sincere interest in his students and incorporates
both cooperative and contract learning as a way to engage
them in their learning and to meet their various learning
styles, interests, and abilities.
Aside from his teaching duties, Mr. Leick has
been very active in numerous extras throughout the years.
He has served as a Student Council sponsor, coordinator of
the Presidential Service Award, coordinator of the Science
Fair, and assistant principal just to name a few. He was recognized
as the outstanding teacher at St. Charles Borromeo School
in Melrose, IL. Mr. Leick and his family reside in Overland
Park.
