Seventh Grade Math Wizards
Place First
Kelsey M., Brendan M.,
and Russell O.
The Sacred Heart 7th grade team placed first
at the Holy Trinity Mathletics Competition on February 10,
2005. At the competition, teams of three students from five
Catholic schools in the Archdiocese worked together to solve
fifteen timed problems, all with different scoring values.
Scott Hulshoff, SHS 6-8 math teacher, commented,
"This was the closest contest I've ever seen. All five teams'
final scores were within one point of each other. The Sacred
Heart students had fun and were more relaxed than the others.
They worked well together!"
