Eight Grader Nathan B. Places
in Top 10
Sacred Heart grade level champions in the
Readers Digest National Word Power Challenge all qualified
for and competed in the State Level Competition on March 11th.
Representing Sacred Heart were Jaye (4th Grade), Jacob (5th
Grade), Spencer (6th Grade), Matt (7th Grade) and Nathan (8th
Grade).
Approximately 100 students in grades 4 through 8 from across
the state of Kansas met to compete for the honor of Kansas
State Champion and the right to move on to the National Word
Power Challenge Championship. Nathan Beck advanced to the
final round of 10 before being eliminated. Congratulations
to Nathan and the rest of the Sacred Heart students. Start
studying that vocabulary to get ready for next years Word
Power Challenge!
