2004 SCIENCE FAIR INFORMATION
RIBBONS
Each project will be judged by at least two people. The judges
will use a scoring guide to evaluate the scientific process,
display board and lab book for each project. The project will
then be awarded a blue, red or yellow ribbon based on the
accomplishment level shown. The blue ribbon designates Superior
Achievement, the red ribbon Outstanding Achievement and the
yellow ribbon Excellent Achievement. There will be no limit
to the number of blue, red or yellow ribbons awarded. The
ribbons will be presented at the Science Fair Awards Assembly.
BEST EXPERIMENT & BEST INVENTION
The judges will collectively choose from all the Superior
Achievement award winners (blue ribbon) the projects they
feel best exhibit the use of the scientific method for both
the Experiment and Invention categories. One trophy will be
presented for each category. Best Experiment and Best Invention
are the highest awards for the Sacred Heart School Science
Fair. These awards will be presented at the Science Fair Awards
Assembly.

All students in third through eighth grade will vote for
the science projects they like best for grades sixth, seventh

of Class Certificate. These awards will be presented at the
Science Fair Awards Assembly.
