Meet the 2nd Grade
Teachers
Mrs. Maurin
Hello! Welcome to Second Grade! This is my
first year at Sacred Heart teaching second grade. I have taught in the
Archdiocese for a number of years in second grade, as a special reading teacher
(grades 1,2,3), a kindergarten Religion teacher, a second grade teacher for a
specialized group and as a preschool teacher. I received my Bachelor of
Science in Elementary Education from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
I have extended my education with many classes at the graduate level.
I live in Kansas City, Kansas and am a member of the
Cathedral of St. Peter Parish. My late husband, J. Paul Maurin III and I
have two children, a son, J. Paul IV (Steamboat), and his wife Molly and a
daughter Ashley Courtland Maurin.
I am glad to be a part of the Sacred Heart Staff.

Hello! I have been teaching Second Grade at Sacred
Heart for twenty
years. I have a BS in Elementary Education from Benedictine College in
Atchison, Kansas.
My family and I live in Olathe, Kansas. My husband Scott and I have two
sons, Nicholas and Nathan, who attend St. Thomas Aquinas High School. We are
members of Prince of Peace Parish.
