Sacred Heart Students Earn Presidential School Volunteer Service Award

Presentation of Presidential School of Volunteer Service Award at the Kauffman Foundation: students Abbie P. and Jackson M., sponsor Lisa Shikles, and KC Chief's Carol Vermeil

On Wednesday, May 26th, at 9:45 a.m., Assistant Superintendent of Catholic Schools, Karla Leibham, and Dennis Barnett of the Greater Kansas City Youth Service Alliance, will be presenting to Sacred Heart Catholic School in Shawnee the Presidential School of Volunteer Service Award. Individual volunteer service awards will be presented at this time, also.

Only five percent of a school's student body must earn 50 hours or more of community service for the school to receive the Presidential School of Service Award. Sacred Heart went above and beyond with nearly twenty percent of the student body reaching 50 hours or more of community service this school year!
