Eight Graders Help Deliver
Food to the Needy
On Thursday, December 16th the eighth graders
at Sacred Heart School spent the morning volunteering at the
Vaughn-Trent food pantry. Students completed over 360 food
baskets with hams, cartons of eggs, and dinner rolls before
helping deliver them to the cars and homes of those in need.
Sacred Heart students have organized a couple of food drives
this school year to help benefit Vaughn-Trent. These eight
graders were able to witness first hand the people that this
food benefits. Eight grader Michael Walker commented, “This
was great! I felt like I did something really good today.”
